Speaker Bio:

Jim has worked in planned giving for over 20 years.  He has experience in both higher education and in national and regional nonprofit organizations, (re)establishing or building planned giving efforts.  He currently serves as the Executive Director for Gift and Estate Planning at UofL, overseeing the department.  Over his career, he has worked with donors, professional advisors, and internal constituencies to secure over $220mm in planned gifts.  He has presented over 50 workshops on planned giving and estate planning for a variety of audiences and has lectured at Brandies School of Law in charitable gifting techniques.   Jim is a graduate of Trinity Law School and lives in Louisville (since 2010) with his two teenage daughters.  He has served on local boards, including the Charitable Gift Planners of Kentuckiana, the National Association of Women Business Owners of Louisville Foundation, and Metro Christian Legal Aid.
